Pets realistically sculpted in white clay from photos you provide. These are approximately 9" high or long. They are all hand-painted with ceramic underglaze paints and clear gloss glaze. Some additional details are painted with overglazes. All colors/glazes are fired in a kiln. The highest firing is about 1960F. The lowest is for the overglazes at about 1400F. The corgi is 9"x 5.5"x 3.25". This would be $260. The blue tick hound would be $500 because of the quilt and more complex painting. The border collie, 9"h x 7.25"x 5.25" would be $360. I will post progress shots throughout the wet clay stage so you can let me know if I've missed something. I will post photos throughout the glazing process so you can follow the progress.

Custom hand-sculpted portraits of people and/or pets in porcelain or white clay. They can be fully 3-dimensional figures or scenes in relief.
Working from your photos I can do realistic portraits of dogs, cats, or you. I make each piece by hand. Smaller figures are sculpted in high-fired porcelain, whereas larger pieces are sculpted in low-fired white clay. Each piece goes through 3 firings. All the colors are durable fired glazes (2380F) or overglazes (1300F) .
I welcome your inquiries.

For Cheryl's Wedding & Special OccasionThis artist has been wonderful to work with. My project was a ceramic replica of my closest and dearest friend, my dog Jack. She did the entire piece from pictures! She was very careful to ask me questions along the way to make sure the likeness was right. I am just so impressed with this artist. I have a feeling her work will be priceless at some point in her career… the likeness of my Jack is already priceless to me. There are many great artists at Custommade, but Laura is exceptionally gifted. I just couldn't be happier with the entire process!

For Sculpted Portraits Of People And Dogs: Part 2I'm very happy with the final project and very impressed with Laua'a artistry. She is a professional, very customer oriented, and she takes pride in her work which was an indication to me, no need to worry. Of course I will work with Laura Wilenskt again and have already referred others to her!
