Pewter Style Cupboard
This Pewter cupboard based cabinet is a mix of country cottage and a contemporary style. With Curly Walnut highlighting the Walnut this piece is able to be placed in the kitchen, dining room, entryway or even in a bathroom. The handrubbed finish is what makes the figured wood pop. It is available in a wide variety of woods. As with all my listings, completion time is dependent upon my backlog at the time of the order, it may be longer or could be quicker.

The use of both domestic and exotic woods helps me to enhance the clean lines of my designs. I am influenced by a variety of styles from Shaker and Mission to Art Deco and Art Nouveau, blending them into a more contemporary style.
I have worked with wood for over 30 years, establishing VB Woodworks in 1996.
Along with designing and building custom furniture, I have a few limited productions and semi-custom lines with no two pieces exactly the same.

Feb 23, 2015I couldn't be happier! Darrin was a pleasure. I described what I wanted and, in two or three emails, he had set to paper exactly what I had in mind. I was able to watch the process since Darrin sent pics at different stages of development. He drove the completed table to my house when he said he would (despite there having been a blizzard the preceding day), set it up, gave me detailed information on how to care for it, and was extremely generous in offering to change/fix whatever didn't suit me. Unnecessary, since the piece is gorgeous! For a big guy, he has quite a gentle touch in his woodworking!

Apr 8, 2020Darrin did a fabulous job on our project. He brings passion to woodworking and a “good ear”, which other reviewers had pointed out too. We were grateful that he considered how we would be using our pantry, and he included a way to anchor it, as well as a top piece that would make the piece easier to clean and offer a place for knick-knacks. We received mostly weekly updates with pictures, and found additional updates on Facebook. We would highly recommend Darrin for any of your project needs. We hope to hire him again too!
