This large pedestal dining table features live edges on each long side. It was made with distressed maple that has significant color variations, some spalting, and even some holes left by beetles … the first to dine here! The pedestal trestle style base allows good leg room from all sides. The table was finished with a clear catalyzed lacquer to capture the natural coloration of the wood.
Beraht, LLC
Welcome! I am the owner, operator, designer, sawdust maker and everything else including janitor of this little specialty woodworking business. After a career in the business world, I am now following a passion to create works in and of wood. My goal is to deliver to you, my customer, projects that are done right, meeting (hopefully exceeding) your quality expectations. I began my business in 2008 under the name: North Texas Woodworks. I designed and built tables for kitchens and dining rooms, bookshelves, cabinets and several other furniture items. In late 2014 I had bilateral knee replacement surgery that could have gone better! I was sidelined for about 3 years, but got back to sawdust making in 2018.
Changed the product focus to somewhat smaller items including the lighted "Stream Tables" sized for sofa tables and entry halls. With the change came a different name: Beraht, LLC. Beraht is a German word that can mean bright as well as Bert. Seemed like a perfect fit for lighted tables made by a guy named Bert! Beginning in 2024 I have added parametric wall art to my offerings, both standard designs as well as custom and personalized options. Be sure to check out my custom parametric flags!
I own two large format Computer Numerical Control (CNC) router systems and cut and carve special shapes and designs for individuals and for businesses. I can carve images and text in wood to create signs for your business, decor for your home, and gifts for your friends and family. With this automation, orders can be for an individual or for many repetitive items. Examples of past work include things as different as a carved applique for an antique sewing machine, signs, plaques, countless styles and shapes of art boards for paint and epoxy artists, and even ornate carved panels for residential and business doors.
Let me know how I can use my sawdust making skill to be of service to you.
Bert was a delight to work with throughout the project. To find an artisan online to craft a custom table for a discerning client takes a lot of trust and Bert was more than worthy of that trust - in terms of his professionalism, his woodworking skills and his ability to help me and my client work through options and provide creative, gorgeous solutions. His communication was clear and timely. He delivered a gorgeous finished product to an incredibly happy client. Their dining room table, crafted by NTWW, is now a family heirloom that will likely be enjoyed for generations. Thank you Bert!
Well done! We got just what we asked for and Bert still found room for creative license to show off the craftsmanship that makes investing in custom furniture worthwhile.
Bert did an excellent job making a very personal gift for a family friend. He recreated the plaque seen in the movie The Emperor's Club...he even watched the movie to understand the significance of the plaque and to check for spelling/appearance details. I was thoroughly impressed by his craftsmanship, and the plaque recipient said it was by far the most special and unique personalized gift that anyone had ever given him. I have already recommended North Texas Wood Works to friends and plan to continue to do so in the future! Thanks Bert!
Very professional ! He did a great job!
This is my first experience with Custom Made. It was absolutely wonderful and would highly recommend them to anyone. My maker was Bert Rabbe of North Texas Wood Works. Bert is a true professional. He took my concept and turned it into a beautiful piece of work. Not only is his work above and beyond, his correspondences keeping me up to date were greatly appreciated. Be assured, I will be a returning customer and you will be highly recommended. Sincerely, Dean Clark
