Kitchen Area Table For Corner Bench Seating

$2,800

The customer wanted to make better use of the family dining area that has window ledge bench seating. The space has a mitered bench corner and can accommodate a large table. In addition, the family has small children and needs child friendly seating for gatherings. An exterior square corner was ruled out for safety reasons and a long sweeping curve was utilized. The resulting table fits nicely up to the corner bench seating while having an outer side that is much like a round table. The contemporary pedestal table is essentially 75" x 75" and is made from solid beech hardwood. The deep coffee brown stain is protected by a clear catalyzed lacquer for easy and durable care.

Welcome! I am the owner, operator, designer, sawdust maker and everything else including janitor of this little specialty woodworking business. After a career in the business world, I am now following a passion to create works in and of wood. My goal is to deliver to you, my customer, projects that are done right, meeting (hopefully exceeding) your quality expectations. I began my business in 2008 under the name: North Texas Woodworks. I designed and built tables for kitchens and dining rooms, bookshelves, cabinets and several other furniture items. In late 2014 I had bilateral knee replacement surgery that could have gone better! I was sidelined for about 3 years, but got back to sawdust making in 2018.

Changed the product focus to somewhat smaller items including the lighted "Stream Tables" sized for sofa tables and entry halls. With the change came a different name: Beraht, LLC. Beraht is a German word that can mean bright as well as Bert. Seemed like a perfect fit for lighted tables made by a guy named Bert! Beginning in 2024 I have added parametric wall art to my offerings, both standard designs as well as custom and personalized options. Be sure to check out my custom parametric flags!

I own two large format Computer Numerical Control (CNC) router systems and cut and carve special shapes and designs for individuals and for businesses. I can carve images and text in wood to create signs for your business, decor for your home, and gifts for your friends and family. With this automation, orders can be for an individual or for many repetitive items. Examples of past work include things as different as a carved applique for an antique sewing machine, signs, plaques, countless styles and shapes of art boards for paint and epoxy artists, and even ornate carved panels for residential and business doors.

Let me know how I can use my sawdust making skill to be of service to you.

The shelves have all the options we wanted: beautiful wood in a crisp white finish, end stops and back tabs to hold the media in check (so it doesn't fall over or touch the wall), just the right width and depth with decorative front panel, sturdy construction, and easy installation on our part.

Bert does great work! What more can I say?

Bert did an amazing job on a breakfast table. It was more beautiful than what we had imagined. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Bert made an AMAZING table for us. We started out with a very rough idea of what we wanted, and he helped us refine and refine based on some pictures we sent and a conversation. Then he did a mock-up to show us, and we refined a little more. His attention to detail and craftsmanship were beyond impressive. One of the most difficult things about our table was that we wanted to be able to store the (huge) leaves inside the table. Bert worked on that for quite a while until he finally got it to work. Ultimately, we ended up with a beautiful table that was exactly what we wanted. It's a one-of-a-kind work of art. Bert was incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating. We will be using him to design a desk for us next. You won't go wrong with Bert!
