Custom made redwood cookie slab with live edge! One end of slab has burl! The top is finished with oil uerathane finish, which is hand applied. Where there were cracks in the top, they were filled with a colored metallic look epoxy. The base is an reclaimed antique chinese rice barrel! The top is weighted with round weights that sit sown in the base to hold top on. I did not want to screw the top onto the base due to value of the base. So the top and bottom are two seperate pieces. This really is a "one of a kind" piece! Measurements are approximately 36" long x 25" wide x 19 1/2" high. Since this is a "one of a kind" piece, once its sold other pieces similar to this can be made, but no guarantees on matching it exactly. Price does not include shipping.

    Lee did a great job designing a mantle to wrap around an existing brick fireplace. We planned to wrap with a stone product not yet selected. Therefore precise measurements and the various ways of mounting the mantle played as much into the success of the project as did the desired aesthetics. Lee patiently altered the design several times as the rest of the decisions about refacing the fireplace fell into place. The result is terrific and the fit is perfect.
    If you want a great mantle for a difficult situation you cannot do better than working with Leland Franke.
