Lunenberg

This floorcloth was commissioned by a client in Medfield, Massachusetts. The design is based on floor patterns found painted on the floor of an historic home in Lunenberg, Massachusetts. The border pattern was modified to fit the scale of the floorcloth and the curve of the round shape. The colors used are Bavarian Cream for the background; Carbon Black, Yellow Oxide and Red Earth for the motifs; and Carbon Black and Yellow Oxide for the border. The client chose this design and color scheme after viewing Lunenberg #1 in our Early American Collection. The size and shape were modified to better fit the space in which the floorcloth is installed.
