Two Edge is a dining table, designed to showcase both edges of the materials that it is constructed with. Traditionally manufactured furniture only displays the decorative faces of solid wood and plywood, creating somewhat of a fallacy in what these materials actually look like.

Garrett Brooks graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2005 with a BA in Furniture Design. In 2008 he established his own studio, Goodwood Design,since then he has been designing and building one-off commissions for private collectors.

The name "Goodwood Design" was chosen from the simple idea that wood is a good natural resource that should be used to make good objects, designed well and built well, so they can be enjoyed for generations.

    Garrett was very responsive to my questions. The finished bed is really beautiful. There are many lovely details in the design that were not obvious in the drawings. The bed combines artistry and function skillfully. I could not be more pleased with the process and the final product.
