I'm very picky. Having spent a long time looking for something commercially that would fit my space, storage needs and clean style was leading down many dead ends. Going custom seem like my best option. Garrett delivered our bookcases with custom wine holders yesterday. I couldn't be more pleased. The pieces are larger than what was in the space before, yet they somehow manage to make the area seem more open. From many angles it looks like the shelf boxes float inside these quite slim frames. Additionally, the shelf boxes can be removed and act as stand alone book shelves. The frames are two separate counter height surfaces that can be reconfigured in many ways. The wine holders are also cleverly designed individual boxes that can also be arranged to our needs. It's a lot like playing with blocks for grown ups! The design development was truly a collaborative process. Garrett and I bounced around several ideas over a couple of months. Garrett was more than open to my ideas and created new drawings to incorporate them. I highly recommend Garrett to anyone. He is especially good at developing clever design concepts that are clean, modern and unassuming looking.

I'm completely satisfied with the end result of this project. It started with a picture found online and sent to Garrett as a reference point and the bookcase ended up being as spot on as I could've hoped for.

Garrett was very responsive to my questions. The finished bed is really beautiful. There are many lovely details in the design that were not obvious in the drawings. The bed combines artistry and function skillfully. I could not be more pleased with the process and the final product.

Garrett and I had clear communication of. Oth our expectations. He presented several ideas and together we arrived at an excellent solution within my budget. I have received acclaimed comments on the table and am hopeful I can pursue a coordinating piece in the future. I am most happy to refer him and Custom Made to others.
