Yes, this is a glider/rocker! I always loved the motion of a glider but never liked the bulky, traditional look of what was on the market. I set out to design a wonderfully comfortable chair with 4 legs and modern, clean lines with a bit of a retro look. After teaming up with a local Amish chair company that is a leader in the industry, we worked for months to get the feel just right. We completely re-worked the idea of the glide mechanism and developed the Roncoil System resulting in the i-Glyde Designer Chair. We even use Memory Foam in the back for extra comfort. It's simply outrageous! The feel is so comfortable that we have to put a warning label on every chair: CAUTION! This chair may cause uncontrollable relaxation! Every chair is custom made by Amish craftsman and upholstered just down the hill at a 2 person Amish Upholstery shop. We have a huge selection of fabrics from funky floral to the highest grade leather and you can send us your own too. I will work with you to get the exact chair that will fit your decor and style. About the Designer~
Ron Corl has been designing and building since he was a baby. "I remember stacking big wooden blocks in kindergarten and trying to understand how far I could push them off-center before they would fall. I've never stopped pushing those blocks as far as I can! My motto is- "If you never build a box around yourself in the first place, you'll never need to think outside of it"!
His pieces don't blend in with your room - they are the anchor point and you design your room around them!
He designed and hand-built a tiny cottage on his 30 acre Ohio tree farm. This proves there can be comfortable living in 500 square feet or less. He Now lives in a small Cape with his artist wife, Susan, and a spoiled cat, Sophi.

Very responsive, attentive and just all around pleasant to deal with (it was obvious that their customer's matter to them). Every detail was discussed (seat size, stain color, wood choice, type of finish on the legs, etc.) and the finished product was exactly as I had envisioned. The level of skill and craftsmanship is obvious and I wouldn't hesitant to recommend Ron for any custom item, as I believe it would turn out great!
