Demiluna Designer Desk, Funky Modern Cool
This Demiluna Desk was created for one of my city loft clients and is not for the weak of heart. It is based on a floating crescent moon. The edges of the top are 2 asymmetrical arcs ending in 90* flat ends. The top 'floats' on the file/printer cabinet on one end and is firmly supported on 2 designer cast aluminum twisted legs on the balance. Four smaller arced legs hold the file/printer cabinet off the ground. The entire desk looks like it may simply walk away in the night! The desk pictured has a sliding keyboard/mouse tray, a small pencil drawer, and the printer cabinet. Bottom drawer of this cabinet fits most standard printers and hides them away when not in use (the ugly buggers). Top 3 drawers are for other important office stuff and all have soft close, full extension slides. The finish is Oak stained with Purple Regal Perfection & Birch stained with Washington White Wash. Wild! I can match any color or finish you have in mind - anything! The Demiluna Desk is 100% customized for you and no 2 will be identical. About the Designer~
Ron Corl has been designing and building since he was a baby. "I remember stacking big wooden blocks in kindergarten and trying to understand how far I could push them off-center before they would fall. I've never stopped pushing those blocks as far as I can! My motto is- "If you never build a box around yourself in the first place, you'll never need to think outside of it"!
His pieces don't blend in with your room - they are the anchor point and you design your room around them!
He designed and hand-built a tiny cottage on his 30 acre Ohio tree farm. This proves there can be comfortable living in 500 square feet or less. He Now lives in a small Cape with his artist wife, Susan, and a spoiled cat, Sophi.

For Modern Desk5.0When I first posted on CustomMade.com for a modern style desk to be built I was not sure what to expect or if I should expect anything at all. To my surprise I was contacted by several designers all interested in working with me and each with their own spin on the design and materials. I decided to working with Ron because from the start he showed he truly cared about making this the best possible experience for me. He was not interested in rushing thru the project but looked forward to it with excitement. He had no hesitation when it came to spending as much time as needed coming up with creative ways to make everything fit together perfect. He spent several hours showing me different 3D designs and material options before he was even official hired for the job. It is very clear that Ron loves what he does and that shows in his attention to even the smallest detail and his communication with the customer. Once we decided to move forward I was not left out of one step. He stayed in constant communication with me. At each stage of the build I was sent detailed video footage and photos so I was able to watch the desk being made from start to finish. When my desk arrived I completely fell in love with it. I spend a lot of time working in my home office and this desk fits me perfect and Ron would not of had it any other way. Over all I could not have asked for a better experience with a designer. Ron is professional, funny and great to work with. We are already planning our next project together and I'm looking forward to many more after that. Although I was not sure what to expect Ron Corl Design has by far exceeded all expectations and is a true representation of customer service and quality business.

For Industrial Modern Saddle Stool5.0I wish I needed more!! Working with Ron & Sue was easy from the very first inquiry. Very responsive, attentive and just all around pleasant to deal with (it was obvious that their customer's matter to them). Every detail was discussed (seat size, stain color, wood choice, type of finish on the legs, etc.) and the finished product was exactly as I had envisioned. The level of skill and craftsmanship is obvious and I wouldn't hesitant to recommend Ron for any custom item, as I believe it would turn out great!
