This fire screen is derived from a design that was passed over by a client. I kept coming back to it and eventually made this as a Christmas present for my wife. For me this is a classic example of the ideal of the Arts and Crafts movement. It is an artistic yet functional piece with some Japanese influences in the design fulfilling a very western need. It not only keeps the sparks contained when there's a fire but looks good all year round.
