He was great with helping us design what we wanted. He was always in contact about all the details. He even took extra time to make the stain match perfectly with our other furniture.
It was a pleasure working with Stephen! He was great at communicating his status on the project and even delivered it two weeks early! The cabinet is great, I love it!
Steve made exactly the doors I was expecting and completed the project in the timeframe he quoted. He delivered the doors himself and did so on the first of several possible delivery dates I provided. Throughout the process he communicated in a very timely fashion through the website and provided pictures of the finished product before arranging delivery. This was my first custom project through custommade.com and I must admit I was hesitant. When it comes to additions to my home I very much like to approve materials in advance but this project went so smoothly, and the product is so excellent that I'll definitely try it again. (But I'll still be nervous ;-) I will definitely tap Steve again for any future carpentry projects,
Mr. Jornov was superb every step of the way. I had an idea of what I wanted this project to be, but his design suggestions surpassed my own ideas. He frequently communicated with me about the project's progress and consulted with me on any step that he felt needed my review or approval, even mailing to me some wood finish samples to make decisions easier. His work was timely, professional, and that of a very talented and experienced craftsman. Delivery and installation was quick and well done. My new wall and shelving unit is absolutely beautiful, we dearly love it. It's serving every purpose we wanted: the wall is protecting my toddlers from falling, the shelves are providing display spaces, and the window is maintaining the open floor-plan feel of the upstairs. It's also eye-catching even from behind in the foyer. I can't speak highly enough of Mr. Jornov's work. We are fully satisfied and very happy with our new unit! Thank you so much Mr. Jornov!
The cases were completed ahead of schedule however, some things were changed such as the joint type (different joint used then proposed) and installation of silver latches versus the proposes brass (even though I accepted the silver after all.) The communication was a bit lacking but ended up ok in the end. The value does not meet the cost of the units in my opinion and they should have been $75 per case less and it would have been fine. I did not argue the price and paid in full the agreed to price but I feel I overpaid about $225 total. All in all the cases are acceptable and will be hung in my living room showcasing my prized guitars!
