Cane Riddle Me This
The customer wants a cane with some bling to take along to the comic convention to add to his Riddler collection/wardrobe, of Batman and Robbin origin. using oak for the shaft, maple for the top, transparent acrylic round thin shaft to create the question mark at the top which I water gilded in 23 karat gold leaf. The raised lettering also gilded is carved from the shaft, not merely stuck on. So, I have created one more intoxicatingly beautiful object to adorn the world with, Ralph Mitchell

Working alone, I state working alone because nearly everything that I design and make are works of art made by me alone and signed by me for 20+ years, Ralph produces furnishings and signs rebelling against "mechanical mediocrity" refusing to work within the limitations imposed by machines and produce objets d'art which can only be accomplished with many hours/days/weeks/months of hand tooling.
To summarize, I am an artisan, not merely a furniture maker. Thank you for your interest in my fascination.
