The difference between a hand-made bed of real hardwood and a store-bought bed machined from MDF and veneer is night and day. Hidden 8" screws combined with free-floating tenons are the secret sauce that makes this a multi-generational bed that your grandchildren will enjoy. Beds are not very complex to make, once you crack the code of how you will join the side rails to the headboard and footboard. Through the grace of God, free-floating tenons, and hidden bolts the code has been cracked.

This simple mantra drives what we do. We design and build hardwood furniture that will outlast your lifetime. Leading with the world-famous rocking chair (with free-floating back braces), we build tables, benches, chests, children’s toys, clocks, chests, and custom built-in cabinetry. Our furniture is authentic. You will notice grain striations, irregular wood pattern curls, and other one-of-a-kind natural traits of the wood. Our furniture is functional. While some would rather admire - and not sit in - the rocking chair, for example, it is unarguably the most comfortable chair in which you have ever sat. Finally, we build, simply, furniture. We use FSC certified hardwoods. We combine classical and modern woodworking techniques to ensure lifetimes of form and function in these pieces. We are passionate about building fine furniture.

For Custom Wood Box5.0I asked Jeff to build a large waterproof outdoor box for storing smoking wood (a Christmas present for my wife). The finished product came out beautiful. I couldn't be happier with the workmanship of the final piece. It ended up being a bit more than I had originally hoped, but in the end the value is correct. Communication throughout was great, including when we needed to change certain aspects to get the best value out of our materials. I would definitely work with Jeff again, next time I need some custom woodwork done.

For queen size bed4.8It's great, and I'd work with him again, and recommend him to others. The bed is a really nice piece, really pretty and it seems well built and solid, and smells good, like fresh wood. I've never done custom made furniture before, so $2200 seems kinda high for a bed -- but it may be standard, especially for around here.
