Solid walnut trophy award stands. These bases were constructed with solid walnut blocks and laser engraved with a company logo and text. The finish applied was a non-toxic hand rubbed oil. The ceramic elephants are securely attached to the blocks.

Clark Wood Creations
Our small woodworking company started when we bought our first home over a decade ago and were doing standard small home renovations ourselves. At that time most of what I knew was taught by my grandfather who was a contractor and built small homes, decks, additions, renovations, etc.
Once most of the major renovations were done in our home, my transition to building custom furniture began. I'm completely self-taught in fine woodworking; I've read countless books and magazines, attended classes and workshops, watched videos, listened to podcasts and have had lots of practice. As with most small businesses, our friends and family were requesting that I create pieces for their homes and this led to more practice and eventually building commission pieces for the general public.
That's where we are today… Located in the greater Chattanooga, TN area specializing in designing and manufacturing custom, handcrafted, heirloom pieces of furniture.
Most of the furniture pieces that are made by us are designed per the client's specifications. Most of the time the design process begins with an inspirational photo or photos of design(s) or style(s) you like. Once I have an idea of the piece, a 3-dimensional drawing is generated in a CAD program to help refine specific design details and features.

He came up with some really creative ideas, and even offered to do a cool inlay rather than just a laser engraving like I was originally asking for (see the picture). He was very responsive from start to finish, and delivered a piece exactly like his original mockup - on time and on budget!

Lucas was patient with me through the design and decision stages and he was excellent at communications through the completion stages. Why was CWC so good in design? Provided me with several valuable alternatives to my original design idea Was patient with me when I changed my mind about dimensions/materials/etc (of course this is before the build started) Gave detailed information on pricing impacts of types of materials and gave personal and professional advice Why was CWC so good in production?
