Walnut And Salvaged Oak Coffee Table
An oak sapling, about 20 feet high, that we had to take down was too attractive to simply discard, so I dried it for a year, then cut it down the middle,preserving the irregular curves of the trunk and setting them off against the rest of the material, which is all walnut.

Member of the Furniture Society and Fine Wood Artists. One-of-a-kind pieces, ranging from dining room and occasional tables to shelves, cabinets and small boxes. The work generally combines several woods as highlights. It is all finished neutrally in tung oil, Danish wood oil, tung oil, wipe-on polyblend or varnish. I incorporate neither stain nor paint in my pieces.
