This piece all came from one unusually large pallet that turned out to be almost entirely red oak. There were gaping knot holes in it that I decided to design the drawers around, so they had to be drilled out from the back and filled with ebony inserts to keep them uniformly black knot color, but also only about 1/8 inch deep. This was done for a particular client who needed a desk for her home office, but whose available floor space is quite limited. The drawers are on Rockler tracks.

For Kitchen tablesAllan Parachini built me 2 custom alder kitchen tables of the exact right size & shape that I ordered (I could not find this in any stores). He finished the job ahead of schedule and charged a very reasonable & fair price. The work done was of high quality and the tables are stable and look beautiful. He was extremely pleasant & easy to work with. He communicated with me frequently concerning both the design and the construction of the tables. He fully lived up to his commitment and delivered the tables to me personally. I give him a 5-star rating, my highest ranking. The tables look great in my newly remodeled kitchen. Thanks, Allan!
