The dining table required no apron, so steps were taken to stabilize the solid top without impinging its seasonal movement. A hardened steel spine was epoxied into the shallow spine to stiffen it, and 1/4" x 1/4" x 1" angle stock spanned the joint between ribs and table top. Fabricated for LevenBetts Architect.
