Double Ellipse Coffee Table

$1,000

This Arts and Crafts style coffee table was custom made for a client's study. The client wanted elements of the Limbert coffee table but longer and lower and with less detail. Material is cherry with ebony inlays on the legs. Finish is satin Waterlox which produces a very hard surface yet soft looking appearance. The top of this large coffee table is 42 1/2" long and 27 5/8" wide. I was able to find 3 wide cherry boards with some very nice figure. The Limbert coffee table is a single ellipse while this table is composed of two joined ellipses with a flat section on the side.

    For Front Porch Rebuild
    5.0

I hired Paul Norman of SherpaDog Renovations to rebuild a large enclosed front porch which had been destroyed by carpenter ants! I was pleased by the variety of cost effective redesign options Paul offered. In the end I chose to add some ornament to my Victorian home. He replaced the exterior plain shingles with scalloped ones, designed a diamond pattern (instead of the common basket weave) for the exterior skirt of the porch, added wainscoting under the interior windows, built a beautiful wooden ceiling and installed casement windows. I was thrilled with the results. Paul's attention to detail and fine carpentry skills resulted in a porch much admired by my neighbors and friends. I recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, conscientious and creative carpenter. I would definitely hire him again.
