Mission style File Cabinet with top that has a hidden latch to allow it to lift up and reveals a hidden drawer. This file cabinet has three full extension file drawers and is made of quartersawn oak and constructed and finished in the mission or craftsman style. The top of this file cabinet pulls forward and disengages from a peg allowing it to be lifted up and leaned back. Below the top is a drawer sized space to store your important items. When you drop the top and push it in, a hole in the molding engages a dowel and makes it so it will not lift upward. The molding connects with the matching return molding and makes it appear that the top is connected all around.

Blue Hill Cabinet creates and builds custom, affordable, fine furniture, kitchens, staircases, and built-in cabinetry. We often use solid wood and traditional joinery methods and designed with subtle hand-made details in a simple accord with the entirety of the piece.
Our custom cabinetry appears fundamentally simple-- using the grain of the wood as the adorning feature, however on closer inspection the pieces usually have details that are sensory delights: enjoyable to look at and inviting to touch and feel.
We use locally sourced material when available and primarily plantation grown domestic hardwoods, and all sheet goods are of the highest grade.
We have worked on many historic homes and have recreated many different historic moldings, trim work, staircase parts, etc.
Clients can expect versatility and impeccable craftsmanship in addition to clear and thoughtful communication, whether designing from scratch or using an existing plan.
