Earth And Sky: Entry Window And Pendant Lamp
Coordinating window and light fixture for a residential foyer give a bright welcome to all guests. The home's contemporary architecture and prairie location called for a modern twist on traditional motifs. The window is primarily mouth-blown German glass plus German molded jewels, whereas the pendant lamp is made primarily of square jewels. Contrasting hues (blue and red) and tones provide excitement and the variety of jewels add textural interest. The window, leaded and made air-tight, is installed on the interior side of a double-paned window, adding another layer of thermal efficiency. The hanging lamp is made in copperfoil technique.

We are a husband-wife team who design and create stained glass windows, artful stained glass objects, and functional fused glass for homes, businesses, and public spaces. For more than thirty-five years we have been creating windows, glass panels, and light fixtures tailored to specific sites. Now we also offer kiln-formed glass. We love working with mouth-blown and handmade glass because of its rich beauty, and our delight in the glass is shown through innovative design and excellent fabrication in lead and copper foil techniques as well as fusing and slumping.
Whether you desire an architectural installation, accessories like a lamp or light vessel, a piece of stained glass art for your personal collection, colorful tableware, or a very special gift, we can create something original. Client needs and interests are central to our design and fabrication process. While it is advantageous to discuss a window project before new construction, we also fabricate to fit existing windows.
