"Summer Trees" Stained Glass Window

"Summer Trees" Stained Glass Window

$4,400

Arts-and-Crafts era ceramics inspired this three-part stained glass window. Each panels is 30" x 32" and created with artisan-made glass. The tree leaves, for example, are made of hand-poured mottled opalescent glass while much of the rest of the window is composed of mouth-blown (sometimes called "antique") glass. The nature theme is typical of the early part of the 20th century. The three panels are constructed in the traditional lead came technique and framed in zinc. This rigid framing allows the panels to hang side-by-side in a large window or individually in three different windows. One advantage of framing instead of permanent installation is that a home-owner can easily install the stained glass window and another advantage is that the windows are easily movable.

We are a husband-wife team who design and create stained glass windows, artful stained glass objects, and functional fused glass for homes, businesses, and public spaces. For more than thirty-five years we have been creating windows, glass panels, and light fixtures tailored to specific sites. Now we also offer kiln-formed glass. We love working with mouth-blown and handmade glass because of its rich beauty, and our delight in the glass is shown through innovative design and excellent fabrication in lead and copper foil techniques as well as fusing and slumping.

Whether you desire an architectural installation, accessories like a lamp or light vessel, a piece of stained glass art for your personal collection, colorful tableware, or a very special gift, we can create something original. Client needs and interests are central to our design and fabrication process. While it is advantageous to discuss a window project before new construction, we also fabricate to fit existing windows.
