I'm a hobbyist woodworker. I can handle most small projects. Boxes, picture frames, shelves, lathe turnings, etc. I can also do some large ones. Such as a bookshelf or shoe rack and such. I can also weld steel. If you need an item with wood and metal, I can do it. let me know what your need is and I'll tell you if I can or can't do it.
I particularly love to make bottle stoppers. I can make them completely from scratch or from a kit. But I can do most wood turning. Dishes, Platters, Vases, bowls, candlesticks, etc.

I ask James to create a custom abacus for a non-standard use. He was very receptive to the idea right from the start. We messaged back and forth over the course of the project adjusting details. James often contacted me with additional ideas and made my satisfaction a priority. It is very clear that he loves what he does. The abacus arrived today, and the pictures James sent me before shipping didn't do it justice. It's beautiful and exact to the specifications I gave him. James also added a lot of artistic flair that is sure to make it a conversation starter. This was a great experience from start to finish.

James did an excellent job on my gunstock refinishing. He finished ahead of schedule and kept me informed through e-mails and photos. To save on shipping, he let me drop off and pick up my project at his workshop. I liked his price. He even did a little extra touchup on a metal part on the day of my pickup which was above and beyond what was expected. He was very friendly and professional and I would definitely recommend him for any woodworking project.
