Nature's Berth was created as part of the Urban Trees 7 exhibition at the Port of San Diego. The mosaic took 5 months to fabricate in three pieces, and was installed on site in the planter that the Port provided. The exhibition ends in October, 2011.

Although mosaic is often used as a formal decorative attribute of interior and exterior architecture, it also undoubtedly documents the culture that produces it. I use this ancient medium to capture 21st century reflections of ourselves. Using 3/8" micro mosaic tile, marble and/or glass, these pieces express the relationships between people and/or their surroundings. Details that would otherwise go unnoticed are highlighted.
A newer evolution of my work is shifting toward the sculptural, both real and organic; an interesting extraction from materials that are solid and impervious.
All work is designed and fabricated by me in my studio. Each piece is one of a kind.
I welcome the collaborative process to create specific mosaic designs for both residential and commercial sites.

For Casa KAnne was a pleasure to work with. She responded so quickly and was able to complete my project sooner than expected. This was a gift and the recipient was overjoyed with her items. Anne was patient as we worked through colors and details. I was so pleased that I am going to begin work on another project in the near future. I would HIGHLY recommend Anne.
