Pine Tree And Chickadee - Glass Fusing Artwork
After a snowfall a black capped chickadee rests on a pine tree branch. Pine cones float beyond the straight edge border into the wall space. Layers of fusing glass pieces, chips, powders, and thin drawn glass rods create a textural surface with opaque and translucent areas.

Glass Trans-Fusing
My contemporary nature inspired artworks are created with multiple layers of fused glass which are kiln fired for a textural surface.
The design’s edges flow beyond rigid straight lines with elements moving into the wall space.
The use of powdered glass and voids add depth and drama.
Some compositions can have more than one panel and variations of depth raising the design from 1/2" to 3" from the wall's surface.

Mar 1, 2013The butterfly pendant Michelle made for me is lovely!! She was delightful to work with - professional, communicative, very willing to explain the details of her work and to work with me to create just the right piece. I would definitely order more of her work in the future.
