Blossom Branch B - Serving Tray With Bowl
Within 3 layers of fusing glass rest a blooming cherry blossom branch. Opaque powdered glass channels surround the varying aqua blue pieces. The serving tray sweeps into a gentle S curve with a recessed area to accommodate a small bowl. This bowl can be used as a dip or condiment dish. The smaller bowl can also become a display area for floating a single flower. 13 7/8" X 8 7/8" X 7/8"

My contemporary nature inspired artworks are created with multiple layers of fused glass which are kiln fired for a textural surface.
The design’s edges flow beyond rigid straight lines with elements moving into the wall space.
The use of powdered glass and voids add depth and drama.
Some compositions can have more than one panel and variations of depth raising the design from 1/2" to 3" from the wall's surface.
