Mauzie's owner/operator is Martha A. Mays. Martha, (Mauzie), resides in Colorado. She moved out west from Ohio after completing her bachelor of fine arts degree with dual studio emphasis in painting and metalsmithing from Miami University. Searching for ways to utilize her talents, Mauzie continued to strengthen her abilities working for two prominent Colorado jewelers as well as painting commissioned mural and canvas paintings. Ready to embark on her own, she opened Mauzies Fine Jewelry and Gifts in January 2006. Mauzie likes to incorporate her love of painting and metalsmithing in her original jewelry designs. She enjoys talking with her clients and deigning a piece that is truly "for them", with a Mauzies flair.
