A solid oak 17th century reproduction, this blanket chest has 3 carved front panels that can be customized for special occasions or special people. The lid can also be fitted with safety hinges for a child's room. The pegged mortise and tenon joinery combined with the oak makes this piece nearly indestructible and resistant to teens, Newfoundlands, and over-zealous movers.

Eli was a fantastic individual to work with on this project. He was always in contact and updating me on the progress. I was able to to see the piece as he moved through the various stages (making formwork, basic finishing, etc etc). He shared my enthusiasm and definitely made the whole process more enjoyable while creating a great prototype that I'm very happy with.
