This bench was inspired by the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. It is made of 3" thick Sapele posts which makes it suitable for indoors or out. The entire piece is constructed without glue, using traditional timber-frame joinery. This allows it to weather the elements and also pack flat for shipping!

Eli was a fantastic individual to work with on this project. He was always in contact and updating me on the progress. I was able to to see the piece as he moved through the various stages (making formwork, basic finishing, etc etc). He shared my enthusiasm and definitely made the whole process more enjoyable while creating a great prototype that I'm very happy with.
