"Pelican's Perch " is a rolling library ladder / chair . It's made of laminated baltic birch that has been deeply carved , smoothed , painted and varnished . Solid black walnut for trim , top rail and carved handgrip were chosen for their beautiful grain . Distressed shoe leather covers the steps and seat . Could be used in any room as a functional piece . Dimensions : 60" h. 31' w. 20' d. Shipping cost listed is for continental United States .

Since 1978 , I have designed and made furniture and functional objects , mostly made of wood , usually one-of a-kind or in very limited editions . While many of my projects posted on CustomMade have a lighthearted and whimsical flavor , I have also built many pieces in traditional styles too . I use the best materials and construction methods in every piece , then apply durable finishes to withstand everyday use . I often work with designers and directly with clients to create a unique piece to fill a particular need or space in their home or office. I love to collaborate!
