Aug 14, 2018If any of CavDad’s Troopers looking for a highly skilled artisan to make a stunning pair of custom spur straps, then Richard P. Harber Jr., trading as “Rics Leather”, your destination. This was a complete five-star experience. Having recently purchased a pair each of original Model 1911 and Experimental 1914 Cavalry Spurs, going with original straps was considered, but finding a matching set of upper AND lower straps provided problematic. Enter Rics Leather. Asking questions I had not even considered and working in close collaboration, resulted in stunning spur straps in both russet, for use with AR 670-1 field/garrison boots, as well as in black for the dress shoes and The Army Ball. From initial inquiry to shipping notification, the communication was always timely and courteous. CavDad cannot sing his praises any higher, louder, or clearer, other than to say I would recommend this highly skilled craftsman to you without hesitation or reservation.
