Jane Kozlak has been a porcelain artist since 1976. In 1983 she was approached by a tile shop where she lives, in Connecticut, to paint some tiles for them; thus starting her tile business, Tiles by JKozlak. Jane has done tile work for the Connecticut Govenor's Mansion, Michael J. Fox, Eileen Ford and Ralph Lauren to name a few.

Jane specializes in custom design work on tile for kitchens, bathrooms, fireplace surrounds, and house number plaques. She will match wallpaper, fabric, or whatever the customer wishes to have produced on tile. If you wish to have towel bars, toilet tissue holders, lotion dispensers, and soap dishes painted to match your design, she can do that, too.

All Jane's tiles are very realistic and true to the color of the subject. By firing in a kiln, the design becomes a permanent part of the tile; this also makes the tile very durable.

Jane paints on glass and porcelain. Jane also paints on stone. Unfortunately, stone can't be fired. the stone will be painted and then sealed.

She will work directly with homeowners, interior decorators, other tile shops, architects, and home builders.
