Custom Guitars From Reclaimed Materials
I make custom guitars and basses, locally, ethically and sustainably from reclaimed, upcycled and naturally-felled materials. I won't copy the "other guys" designs, but I have a few of my own and have made several custom instruments inspired by the classics, but with a unique spin. Oh, and the weirder, the better :) And I can usually compete with quality, factory-made guitar prices, too. Attached is just a small sample of some instruments I have made. from conception, to making it to sweeping up, i am a one-man operation - by design.
my work is not for everyone. my customers are people who want truly unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that are made fairly and ethically from locally salvaged materials - with as small a footprint as i can muster.
i will make and ship things all over the united states (depending on size) but i prefer to work regionally (Boston to NYC and thereabouts).

He finished way ahead of his projection and kept it at a very reasonable price. The bass itself is beautiful; it plays so well. I’ve owned many basses in my day, but this is by far the most unique. I cannot recommend Tim Sway Perspectives enough.
His communication throughout the project was fantastic; I received updates regularly. He was very open to my input, which was great. Tim definitely wants the customer to be satisfied.
If you want a really cool bass [or guitar], look no further. Do yourself a favor and let Tim Sway make it for you.
