Inspiration Design
The example projects shown here were made without any idea of commercializing them. They were made for the enjoyment of creative work. After some encouragement from my family, I was convinced that making a business of this would be a way to get more work done, to focus and to spread the ideas further.
I have experience in a wide range of project types; from furniture to boatbuilding. The common thread is that I am inspired by the tradition of craftsmanship, the value of good design, and a belief in the strong interdependence of thinking and making. If people who see and use these pieces feel the same joy that I experienced in making in them, in the materialization of ideas, then I will feel it was a success.
If you are interested in one of the example projects or would like to discuss a different project, please get in touch.
The Salt and Pepper Shakers that Alan made were one of my in-laws favorite gifts of the year! He was very cooperative and while he was going to be out of town, made a plan with me to make sure I had them before leaving for their house.
