Craftsman Style Copper Hood With Forged Steel Strapping
This copper hood was made to fit a very tight location in a kitchen in St. Paul, Minnesota. It is fabricated from 18 gauge copper and accented by lightly forged steel strapping which overlaps in a unique way to give the piece a lot of depth and presence in this craftsman style home. This type of project is always going to be custom and can be made in a variety of styles and sizes with primitive or precision accents or a beautiful combination of both.

I am a 30 year old metalsmith specializing in custom metal fabricating, blacksmithing and jewelry. I wake up every morning breathing ideas in metal. Its such great stuff! I wouldn't have named my new son, Eisen, german for "Iron" if I wasn't sure he'd grow up a blacksmith just like me and love metal like me. No pressure of course, I will let him do whatever he wants.
I pride myself in working with clients to create unique functional art pieces, objects and furniture that can stand alone and make a statement as well as accompany their surroundings to improve the current atmosphere. This can apply to furniture, jewelry and sculpture all the same.
When possible I employ the use of recycled materials and resources to create my custom projects. I feel this is a vital component in creating original work and in many ways contributes to a more unique creation with built in history.
