    For Small Bathroom Vanity
    5.0

Matt Sullivan with Saltwater Woodwork's is a true craftsman. He was able to duplicate a pottery barn vanity on a smaller scale for our tiny bathroom. To tell you the truth it blows away the pottery barn vanity. Matt was a true professional throughout the entire process. He would give me daily updates as he turned the vanity around in the timeframe that he quoted. The vanity is going to get lots of compliments from our guests as its has so much detail for such a small piece. I would recommend Saltwater Woodwork's as they are the real deal. I look forward working with Matt on future projects.

Matt Sullivan is a true artisan. The quality of his work is excellent and he was a true professional throughout the project. We are very happy with the desk, his pricing was fair, and we truly enjoyed the process. I would offer my highest recommendation to anyone considering working with Matt.

    For desk

I had an outstanding experience working with Matt from Saltwater Woodworks and couldn’t be happier with my new desk.

First on the desk specifications: he took very detailed input and assimilated this to a vision, and then worked with me to refine the vision to exactly what I wanted. I’m very picky to the tune of over 20 exchanges we had on specific requests (ranging from very specific things like dimensions to ‘do what you think is right keeping in mind we like these pictures of furniture’). He was always was very polite and wanting to meet all needs across lots of details: dimensions, exactly how I would use some custom features, low VOC stains and adhesives, only 100% solid wood, range of color samples sent to my home, wood types pros and cons, narrow door the desk needed to fit through, etc. He put the custom in custom made.

Second on the finished product: a true artisan with a high level of craftsmanship that exceeded my expectations. We have a few exceptionally nice pieces passed down to us, and the work he did in every way rivals the quality of workmanship of these heirloom cherry pieces 70+ years old. I wanted a wood with a rich grain I could see, I wanted subtle finishing touches that said ‘well crafted’, and I wanted a piece that I plan to pass down to my son. This is exactly what I got. He also exceeded expectations on the mechanics (‘I went ahead with the better hardware…’).

Finally on the experience: Matt went above and beyond to make sure this was a great experience. The shipper damaged the first desk that was delivered (based on damage it looked like it had been dropped off of a moving truck!). He had never had this happen, and even though it was not his fault (it was well packed), he was crystal clear from my first contact that he would do whatever it took to make this right. While he was still in conversations with the shipper on the insurance claim, he proactively started building another one for me. He ended up rebuilding the entire desk and then personally drove it 14 hours to my house (and set it up as well). He strikes me as one of those rare people that are of the highest integrity and customer service.

He is a true craftsman, and a stand up individual. Highly recommended.

For converting existing shaker style light cherryTv cabinet to accommodate 50" wide HDTV.
    5.0

We were very pleased with the work done by Saltwater Woodworks. The converted cabinet came back well beyond our expectations.
Matt is a true craftsman -- he listened to our wishes; he was prompt; and the furniture was returned like new.
We highly recommend Saltwater Woodworks to all. It was a fantastic experience.
We are in awe that Matt was able to preserve an outdated 48" high entertainment center made for a 32" TV from the landfill by cutting it down to 26" so it could be used to accommodate a 50" HDTV.
