We wanted to try and find bar stools that would complement an outdoor bar that I built out of reclaimed barnwood. I posted my requirements online and very quickly got a response from Strong Oaks Woorkshop and over the course of a few days we went back and forth on my requirements. They were very responsive and even provided me a sketch of the stools and some pictures of wood color prior to our acceptance of the proposal. This was all very helpful and we had an overall great experience with this company. Would definitely recommend them for any of your projects and we would most definitely utilize them in the future.
The finished product is more than I could have hoped for!! I got scared at one point after the original ship date went by and I hadn't heard from anyone but as soon as I started expressing my concern I received multiple emails easing my worry.
The final product is great - really solid construction and very well made. The communication from the shop was extremely poor. What was projected to be a 2 to 3 week project turned into and 2 to 3 month project and I had to reach out on numerous occasions to inquire about the status. When the product was finally delivered it was not completed to the specifications provided (the bed slats were left unstained) but the shop indicated it would correct the oversight. It did resolve part of the issue by sending new stained slats but I was informed that I would have to stain the center slat myself. Overall, I am very satisfied with the bed but I am confused by the entire process and communication.
The barstools came out great, we couldn’t be happier. Communication was excellent. No complaints here
My coffee table is not exactly what I expected, but I love it nonetheless. My issue with The Strong Oaks was the packaging for shipping. The first table arrived incredibly damaged in a box way too small for shipping, made from pieced together scraps of cardboard and absolutely no cushioning. Why Strong Oaks would spend weeks crafting an item only to package it so sloppily, is beyond me. When I contacted the maker, he blamed UPS (note: I've NEVER ever had this happen to me and actually know my UPS guy and he had no reason to tamper with a table and cause more heavy lifting for himself). Strong Oaks finally did fix the table and resend it, also packaged horribly.
