Saba, Recycled Wine Barrel Stave Pendant Light, Kitchen Island Light
Saba is a pendant ceiling light completely handcrafted using reclaimed oak staves, recycled from discarded French wine barrels and reinvented into this elegant, unique light fixture. Saba is ideal as kitchen island light or over a dining area. Saba's oak stave is stained in a golden oak color on the outside, while the inside still shows the rich reddish color left by the wine previously held in the barrel, creating a beautiful two tones effect. The stunning redness given by the wine is enhanced when the piece is lit. Please note that your color selection applies only to the upper side of the stave; the underside will remain in the natural red wine stained color. The staves' ends are smoothened to add softness to the silhouette, but still show the original groove of each barrel's plank. Portions of the actual barrel's metal hoop embellish the stave's ends. The metal is left in its original color. The chrome hardware elements perfectly complement the look of this piece. Saba comes complete of a matching canopy, custom crafted to match the light fixture, using an oak disk and a small portion of a wine barrel stave, finished in the same color as the fixture. This light fixture comes with 4 very bright halogen bulbs (gu10 35w), long life, dimmable, included in your purchase. We always recommend to rely on professional installation for any hardwired fixture. Saba's measurements are approximately 34" x 3". Top bracket 16" x 1 1/2". The light's total drop is about 51" from the ceiling; it comes with about 40" wire which may be shortened as needed.

For Orbits Chandelier5.0This was our first project with CustomMade and it DEFINITELY won't be our last thanks to Stil Novo Design. My wife and I bought our home in South Florida a couple years ago. It was built in '91 and was all original. We loved the house, the neighborhood, and absolutely HATED all of the finishes (which was perfect because we wanted to do a full renovation, top to bottom, our own style). After replacing the roof with custom concrete tiles, replacing all of the windows and sliding doors with impact glass, re stuccoing the entire house smooth, repainting, building a concrete planter box, demolishing and rebuilding the screen porch, and installing stacked stone, it was time to deal with lighting. I knew we were going to install warm, low voltage LED lighting in the planter and the sides of the garage and wanted to do the same type of lighting for the entrance. Our main entrance has an archway where a cheap hanging lamp once hung. We wanted something different, that nobody else would have, rather than something you would see at somebody's house and recognize from Home Depot or a West Elm catalog. We spent weeks on the iPad looking at pendant lamps and modern/contemporary chandeliers before we ended up at CustomMade. That's when we saw the Orbits Chandelier. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Once we started corresponding with the creators, we KNEW we had made the right choice. Some people worry about shopping online. They have to physically see, touch, hold something before they make a purchase. We're the opposite of that, and even bought our bedroom set and mattress from California, online, and couldn't be more pleased with that purchase either. If you do enough research and read enough reviews, you can often make better purchases than what's locally available. Camilla and Stefano are the husband and wife team that created the Orbits Chandelier, and it's nothing short of amazing. They made it to our exact specifications (diameter, rod mount rather than a chain, and extra protection for humid, salty air). Camilla kept in touch with me regularly from the moment they received the deposit to delivery, and even after the installation to make sure everything was perfect. I sent them a few before and after pics of our house and her response showed how caring and passionate she and Stefano are about their work, and their clients. She explained that they are always excited when a client sends pics so they can see their creations in their new home. The lamp is amazing, and the quality of construction and materials are top shelf. We might never have the opportunity to meet Camilla and Stefano in person because they live on the opposite corner of the country, but if we do, my wife and I will give them a big hug, because we absolutely LOVE the Orbits Chandelier and they were an absolute pleasure to work with.
