Custom work is non-refundable and once in-progress, custom projects cannot be cancelled. Shipping for returns is at the customer's expense. If any mistake is made on your order from our part we are always happy to communicate with you and exchange your item for something closer to your expectations or open a store credit in your name. We begin manufacturing within 24 hours from receiving your payment, cancellations are not accepted after that frame of time. Regrettably shipping fees are NOT going to be included in the credit and we are not able to cover for the costs of returns. We cannot accept cancellations on custom and personalized creations, or on large items, under any circumstance.

Vortex is a pendant ceiling light made by skillfully welding together several metal hoops recycled from discarded oak wine barrels. The staggered arrangement of the rings confers this pendant light a very unusual and fascinating shape, different and interesting from every angle. The bands repurposed from used wine barrels are made of galvanized steel that gives this extraordinary piece a very definite urban feel. Please note that although the hoops are color-treated, welding's markings may be visible in specifics spots, adding to the industrial style of the piece. Vortex can be included as an exceptional and definitely unique light fixture to accent your home, patio or winery décor; it can be smartly integrated into any style of interior designing from the rustic to the more modern and contemporary. Vortex measurements are: About 17" in diameter. About 21" tall plus an additional 9" to 39" length of rod + canopy, from fixture to ceilings, adjusted to your specifications (choose from the scroll-down menu). Please note that every piece is unique and proportions may vary slightly. The inner light features a sleek clear vial-shaped glass suspended by a blackened-bronze bracket. It accommodates a 60 watts max medium base light. A 60W (500 lumens) tubular incandescent bulb is included, frosted or clear. The entire piece is finished in black color. Please make sure that the electrical box to which it will be connected is tested to hold its weight (about 35lb). Professional installation is always recommended.

This was our first project with CustomMade and it DEFINITELY won't be our last thanks to Stil Novo Design. My wife and I bought our home in South Florida a couple years ago. It was built in '91 and was all original. We loved the house, the neighborhood, and absolutely HATED all of the finishes (which was perfect because we wanted to do a full renovation, top to bottom, our own style). After replacing the roof with custom concrete tiles, replacing all of the windows and sliding doors with impact glass, re stuccoing the entire house smooth, repainting, building a concrete planter box, demolishing and rebuilding the screen porch, and installing stacked stone, it was time to deal with lighting. I knew we were going to install warm, low voltage LED lighting in the planter and the sides of the garage and wanted to do the same type of lighting for the entrance. Our main entrance has an archway where a cheap hanging lamp once hung. We wanted something different, that nobody else would have, rather than something you would see at somebody's house and recognize from Home Depot or a West Elm catalog. We spent weeks on the iPad looking at pendant lamps and modern/contemporary chandeliers before we ended up at CustomMade. That's when we saw the Orbits Chandelier. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Once we started corresponding with the creators, we KNEW we had made the right choice. Some people worry about shopping online. They have to physically see, touch, hold something before they make a purchase. We're the opposite of that, and even bought our bedroom set and mattress from California, online, and couldn't be more pleased with that purchase either. If you do enough research and read enough reviews, you can often make better purchases than what's locally available. Camilla and Stefano are the husband and wife team that created the Orbits Chandelier, and it's nothing short of amazing. They made it to our exact specifications (diameter, rod mount rather than a chain, and extra protection for humid, salty air). Camilla kept in touch with me regularly from the moment they received the deposit to delivery, and even after the installation to make sure everything was perfect. I sent them a few before and after pics of our house and her response showed how caring and passionate she and Stefano are about their work, and their clients. She explained that they are always excited when a client sends pics so they can see their creations in their new home. The lamp is amazing, and the quality of construction and materials are top shelf. We might never have the opportunity to meet Camilla and Stefano in person because they live on the opposite corner of the country, but if we do, my wife and I will give them a big hug, because we absolutely LOVE the Orbits Chandelier and they were an absolute pleasure to work with.
