Stained Glass Panel - Two Coconuts Palms For Two Brothers
This piece was commissioned as a wedding gift from the bride to the groom. The design was based upon a photograph of the view from the beach on Maui where the groom had proposed to the client. The story has it that this small off shore island has two coconut palms growing on it in remembrance of two brothers who sacrificed everything to be together. The image was very meaningful as the couple embarked upon their life-long journey together. The panel is framed in a 2 inch double sided oak frame.

Our original thought was a 3-D type of metal statue but Michelle came in with a slightly different take and it was well received by our team. She described her design very well and sent hand drawings to further clarify her idea. We went with her ideas and we are very happy with the end piece. Her idea of kiln-carving part of the design was better than she described! When she was finished, she sent the statue and a personal check since she over estimated the shipping! Honestly, I think her price was TOO INEXPENSIVE for what we received. She communicated many times as the project began to develop and even checked up to make sure it was delivered. I don’t know what my next item that would need to be created is, but I would have Michelle look it over first!
