Abstract Stained Glass Table Sculpture Featuring Hand-Embossed Coins - Three Coins In The Fountain
This piece combines traditional stained glass and fused glass elements to create a free standing glass sculpture. The inspiration for this piece was the Frank Sinatra hit of the same name. The flowing lines and muted colors recall the timeless elegance of the Trevi fountain in Rome. Building the base was an opportunity to capitalize on the watery feel of glass. I handcrafted the three coins and each coin has the word "amore" (love) embossed on it. The wood frame is anchored in a slate base. I had a number of artists reach out to me wanting to work with me on my project. When Michelle reach out to me, immediately I knew she was different than the rest. She was humble, genuinely interested in making my project unique and asked all of the right questions. The stained glass window I was requesting to be created was a gift for my mother. Michelle wanted to know all about my ideas and wanted to know all about my mother. She took all of the information I provided and created a beautiful one of a kind piece that flows together. She sketched the design in flawless detail and we went back and forth over minor modifications. Michelle was very patient and understanding through the design process. During the assembly phase, she took the time to provide me with pictures and explanations of the process. Michelle works with speed and efficiency but does not compromise on quality and craftsmanship. My mother now has her stained glass window that she will treasure for a lifetime. Sep 3, 2013I have never worked with an artist without physically meeting and seeing the artist's work, but my experience with Michelle Caron was as close to being there as possible. I was able to describe my ideas for the stain glass skylight, and received an abundance of her visions and colors throughout the sketching of the project before it was clear that we both were happy with her plans. I was even more delighted to receive such a beautifully detailed piece of art that expresses Michelle's talent and CARE for the happiness of the client.
