Fused Glass Table Sculpture - Ebb and Flow
This piece explores growth as represented by waves of lava spilling down the mountain slope into the waves of the sea. Though not linear, nor straightforward, it continues in its back and forth, gradually adding onto what has come before. And then, when you look back, you realize just how far you have come. It is composed of three pieces of hand made glass the have textural patterns kiln carved into the back. The curved glass is anchored in black granite and framed in mahogany. It makes a unique table sculpture that transmits the ambient light in the room. Each viewing angle offers a new version of that vista. Approximate dimensions: 9.5" D x 13" W x 6" H

Feb 26, 2019This project was a little “off the cuff”...just an idea we had. We didn’t really know what we wanted. Our original thought was a 3-D type of metal statue but Michelle came in with a slightly different take and it was well received by our team. She described her design very well and sent hand drawings to further clarify her idea. We went with her ideas and we are very happy with the end piece. Her idea of kiln-carving part of the design was better than she described! When she was finished, she sent the statue and a personal check since she over estimated the shipping! Honestly, I think her price was TOO INEXPENSIVE for what we received. She communicated many times as the project began to develop and even checked up to make sure it was delivered. I don’t know what my next item that would need to be created is, but I would have Michelle look it over first!
