Fused Glass Sculpture - Two Azure Dragons (Quinglong)
This fused glass table sculpture is composed of two twisting Azure Dragons. The many shades blue contrast with rose and sea green dichroic glass on the reverse sides - tempering action with reflection, leadership with compassion. The two intertwined pieces are attached to a copper center post via coiled copper wire. The post is embedded in a piece of slate that is framed in mahogany. This piece can be appreciated from many angles and looks stunning placed on a table or desk where it can transmit and reflect the ambient light. Apr 26, 2014Michelle was fantastic to work with, I can't reccomend her highly enough, this is not the first time I have commissioned custom art work but it is by far the best experience I have ever had with an artist, she communicated clearly and often with photo's and updates and worked really hard to make sure the final product was as we had envisioned, she finished on time, on budget and the glass arrived with no damage whatsoever. We will defintely recommend her to friends and use her on future projects.

After meeting with us initially to better understand what we had in mind for the transom window, she prepared several artist drawings with suggested themes. Every one was a possibility that we could have been pleased with. With her talent it made it difficult to decide. We settled on one, then changed to another, and finally after incorporating elements from more than one, and with further changes and additions we finally settled on what has become a work of art in the 6' wide arched transom window above our 8' front doors. It incorporates elements of the family's heritage with a truly wonderful rondel at it's center.
