Fused Glass Table Sculpture - Hero Torch
This sculpture features hand raked glass that I create in my kiln. The piece was commissioned to celebrate the retirement of an Army Officer and the torch ginger was selected to honor her leadership and give it the feel of Hawaii where she was stationed. Among her many accomplishments, she started and lead a support group for women in the military. Their motto is incorporated into the design using liquid gold. The fused glass piece is 12.5" x 9" and is seated in a travertine base that is framed in mahogany. The overall dimensions of the piece are: 13.5" x 9.5" x 6.5"
