Big Pink Bunny Suit

$1,200

There is a long story as to how costume came into existence. If we work together maybe you'll get to hear it, if you don't laugh we probably won't be friends. I made this Big Pink Bunny suit with one of my freelance costumer/fashionistas, in 2006. The end use of it is to create more joy in the world. It's my personal Bunny Suit and it's pretty popular in my world of LA LA Land (yes, Los Angeles). The majority of it is sewn faux fur, machine & hand, although we used some hot glue too. Hot glue is my default adhesive but LUCKY13 has 30+ types of adhesives in stock. The fur likes to get stuck in the sewing machine foot so we pin tracing paper on top of it. After you get your machine stiching done the tracing paper can be ripped off. The ears have 1/16" armateur wire in them to give them bendable shape. The Bunny feet are size 17 New Balance basket ball shoes with the pink fur glued on them. My normal sneakers slide right in for a super comfortable fit. Comfort is a key design component of a costume. If it feels good to the performer they will be able to wear it longer and activate more of their character. I've been making & wearing costumes fairly consistently for most of my life. The pants are overalls with giant buttons that we had laser cut & etched. We couldn't find 3" buttons, not even in LA's vast fabric/garment district. The top is basically a hoodie with mittens. This Suit was intended to have a floppy look but also be versatile. When it's hot out I wear the Bunny overalls with the shoes and a set of blue Bunny ears. Like all of the costume work we do at LUCKY13 we manage to include some velcro latching pockets for valuables like keys, phone, camera & carrots. No Bunny left behind is our motto…and that's why we also made the 8' long Carrot Cycle costume. This will fit on a small dirt bike, enduro or bicycle. Beep Beep Honk HONK!
