Custom Large-Basin Concrete Sink & Backsplash
60" x 21" x 5" edge with custom 9"-deep rectangular basins. Color: Alpine White. Finish: Gloss/Semi-Gloss For this project, the client wanted something a little different than I was used to. The basins had to be large enough for comfortable shampooing. The space to work with was really tight, and the cabinets had already been made, so my job was to design and build a sink that met the design constraints yet still fit into place without interfering with any of the plumbing or cabinetry. With the basins being so deep and close to the front edge, I had to cast this piece in a rather unusual way, starting in two pieces and bringing them together so that the sink was one solid piece. It was a challenge, but the sink fit perfectly and looks amazing in its new home.

Formed Stone Design is an artisan concrete studio dedicated to handcrafting the finest concrete furnishings available. Everything we make is 100% custom, including sinks, countertops, fire features, furniture, and anything else that can be imagined.
Focusing on design, artistry, and form, we see ourselves as artists and not merely fabricators. We love designing and building unique sinks that will elicit far more gazing than hand-washing and countertops with function and character, thinking in three dimensions rather than two.
We produce 3-D computer models of nearly everything we make, so the client can engage in an iterative design process with us. If something isn't just right, we can easily change the design before a tool is lifted. This really helps to ensure that the job goes smoothly.
