Coffee Table 11 is a unique piece of functional art that utilizes the versatility of concrete to create a table top that is different every time. Its thoughtful design allows it to feel at home yet serve as a bold accent piece in a wide range of home decors. The concrete table top is sealed for stain resistance and can be made in a variety of colors. The top will feature some sort of special element that is different for each client, reflecting his or her design style and personality. The table shown here features an integral sand bed that houses a meaningful driftwood root found on a remote island. The sand bed also doubles as a zen garden or tea light setting. The top can also be made to house a clean and safe bio-ethanol fire feature, similar to some of the other fire tables in my portfolio. Imagination is our only limitation here. The base is constructed of a premium hardwood. The table shown here was made with solid oak boards that were stained to a dark walnut color. At additional cost, more exotic woods may be used. The base features two drawers to keep the surface clutter-free, allowing the table to exhibit its intended aesthetic influence without compromising functionality. The corners of the base provide both structure and style and can be done in hand-waxed grey steel or wood. (The provided rendering depicts each of these corner designs.) The table floats 1/2" off the floor, following the spacing of the boards that comprise the base, and the feet are designed in accordance with the type of floor the table will be used on. For hardwood floors, I will use felt over wood. For tile or concrete floors, we may choose to use hidden wheels. In any case, the idea is to make this very solid table easy to move across the floor without causing any damage. [Photography by Laura Partain.]

Formed Stone Design is an artisan concrete studio dedicated to handcrafting the finest concrete furnishings available. Everything we make is 100% custom, including sinks, countertops, fire features, furniture, and anything else that can be imagined.
Focusing on design, artistry, and form, we see ourselves as artists and not merely fabricators. We love designing and building unique sinks that will elicit far more gazing than hand-washing and countertops with function and character, thinking in three dimensions rather than two.
We produce 3-D computer models of nearly everything we make, so the client can engage in an iterative design process with us. If something isn't just right, we can easily change the design before a tool is lifted. This really helps to ensure that the job goes smoothly.
Everything that leaves our studio is proudly designed and handcrafted in every aspect by me! Feel free to call or e-mail anytime! I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

For Fisher custom ramp sinks . Budget is per sinkWorking with Eric has been an absolute pleasure. This was an unusual project which required him to share what I imagined to realize the final product. Not only did Eric capture the spirit of what I wanted but he added to it with advice that , without a doubt, solved potentially costly issues that I did not foresee myself. He is a real professional.

For concrete bioethanol outdoor fire tableI can't say enough about how amazing it has been to work with Eric - he is a master craftsman with a keen eye for design, incredible attention to detail, and infinite patience (for the million tweaks I made to the design before finalizing). The final product is stunning - exceeding my (very high) expectations. Above all, Eric is a great guy and the process was a lot of fun. In the end, I have complete confidence in Eric - I will definitely work with him again as soon as I come up with another concrete project and recommend him strongly to anyone considering undertaking a concrete project.
