Yes, that is a bat house. For those of you that don't garden and know the benefits, bat guano is a highly rich organic fertilizer. Now back to these hand make red ceder log houses. Yes each piece is cut out by hand and each "shingle" separately glued on. No those are not store bought Lincoln logs they started out as new or reclaimed western red cedar boards. How the bat house works. Well they will climb up threw the opening in the bottom and stack in on top of each other. Not sure if you have bats in your area, (if you build it they will come) with in about a year they will find and start moving in. These starter homes begin at $25 and with additions or upgrades the prices will go up.

Building Art One Board At A Time…
In a converted old barn, I built the custom woodworking shop I always wanted. I've been building smaller projects to keep busy inbetween the larger projects, along with working in a custom cabinet shop part time.
On a more personal note:
I'm married to my forever friend, we have 7 kids, 3 boys, 4 girls with the youngest being twins. It is a great blessing to have my shop right next to my house so I can help out with all the kids, but Mom keeps things in pretty good order.

    Hello,
    I hired Mr. Knopf last year to make the awards and he did such a great job, I contacted him again to do this years awards. Seems like I called him 3 times adding more plaques. I told him I would get him the name plates a week before the banquett, I got them to him about 4 hours before. He hand delivered them about an hour before the banquett started.
    The 6 who recieved awards would, I'm sure give thumbs up as well.
