I was asked to interpret this poem into a piece of art. Crow Woman's Day by Chrissie Rizzo Crow Woman tears open a trash bag and suddenly her guests swoop in for her home improvement show. She produces wilted salad with moldy chicken for breakfast. She thinks our décor needs improvement and her designers shred Hefty Cinch Sack confetti around the yard. At the vacant corner, Crow Woman flips a stick into the air and catches it in her beak. She scratches hieroglyphics in the dust. Her shopping list? A legal brief? Or the proof of Fermat's last theorem? A grackle half her size chases Crow Woman away from its nest. Settling on a branch, Crow Woman smoothes her feathers into sleek armor. Crow Woman cocks her head. Sentinel--she caws and now everyone in earshot knows we're trespassing on her watch. Crow Woman roosts in the bare oak. Her massive family gathers the night into the treetops. They jabber their wisdom into the wind. From this I created a functional juice pitcher and juice cup set. One cup has a small section of Fermat's last theorem on it and the other has hieroglyphics on it. The pitcher is decorated with a combination of the two.

Hi There! I’m an artist. I create works that commemorate important life events as well as add joy to every day life. I'm here to create the art you want.

I am a multimedia artist based in Northern New York with over 10 years working with clay and much longer with paint. My work can involve anything from a tea pot shaped like your cat to a large painting, or jewelry.

I love working one on one with people to bring their ideas into reality. If you have an idea for something that you just can’t seem to find it anywhere, I want to hear from you.

My work is a fusion of art and craft that blurs the boundary between these traditions.

I attended Alfred University from 2002 to 2006, earning a BFA. I have attended Medalta International Artists Residency, The Penland School of Crafts, Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts, and the Women's Studio Workshop for residencies and workshops in ceramics. I also attended the Vermont Studio Center for a four-week residency in painting. My work has won numerous awards, been shown in various local galleries as well as venues in Canada, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York City.
