Hi There! I’m an artist. I create works that commemorate important life events as well as add joy to every day life. I'm here to create the art you want.

I am a multimedia artist based in Northern New York with over 10 years working with clay and much longer with paint. My work can involve anything from a tea pot shaped like your cat to a large painting, or jewelry.

I love working one on one with people to bring their ideas into reality. If you have an idea for something that you just can’t seem to find it anywhere, I want to hear from you.

My work is a fusion of art and craft that blurs the boundary between these traditions.

I attended Alfred University from 2002 to 2006, earning a BFA. I have attended Medalta International Artists Residency, The Penland School of Crafts, Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts, and the Women's Studio Workshop for residencies and workshops in ceramics. I also attended the Vermont Studio Center for a four-week residency in painting. My work has won numerous awards, been shown in various local galleries as well as venues in Canada, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York City.

I asked Sara to make me his and hers coffee mugs shaped like cats to give to my now-husband as a wedding gift. The boy cat is wearing a bow tie and the girl cat has pearls--so cute! She did an amazing job and my husband and I both love the mugs. She kept me updated on her progress and incorporated all my feedback. I definitely recommend working with her on a project!!

Sara was very easy to work with. We discussed design options, the timeline for delivery, potential setbacks, etc., and everything worked out as agreed. Seeing the final product I might have wanted to adjust the handles on the mugs a little bit, but that's really on me - Sara provided pictures and asked for feedback before she fired them, and I just didn't look quite close enough. All in all they turned out just fine though.

I am making a small movie and recreating a scene from 57 years ago. I needed a piece of intricate, complicated pottery recreated for the scene. Sara assured me she could make the piece of pottery look EXACTLY the same as the original from the 60's. She pulled it off! I can't even come up with the right words to describe how impressively perfect the piece is. I consider myself very, very lucky to have met her through this site. If you need a piece of pottery done perfectly, Sara can deliver. Wow!!! 10/10!

I wanted to make a special gift for my mentor at the end of a summer internship, but was in a crunch for time. Sara took on my project, time restraint included, and delivered a beautiful piece that would be ready by the time I needed it. I ended up having my end date extended and let Sara know so she wouldn't have to rush shipping. She decided to not let that time go to waste and took it upon herself to add some finishing touches and another layer of glaze to the cup to make the colors really pop!

I could not be more satisfied with the piece and neither could it's recipient. He loved it! I will definitely keep Sara in mind if I need another custom project done. She is professional, timely, and flexible, but those are all bonuses to her TALENT!

    I highly recommend her work.

This is a little long, but worth the read!

29 years ago I found a whole sand dollar on a beach in San Francisco. I was walking with my then husband, my brother and my niece, who was only three years old at the time. I kept it all of these years to give it to her on her wedding day with the message “relationships are fragile - like sand dollars.

The time finally arrived for her to wed, so I got busy finding just the right artist to encase this sand dollar in resin, with the finished product being a paperweight. It was a H-U-G-E leap of faith to package and send my treasure to Sara in New York, but I cannot even describe how beautifully it turned out! Sara placed the sand dollar on sand with a few tiny shells around it - it looked just like it did when I first saw it lying on the beach all of those years ago. My niece absolutely loves it, and it is finally sitting on her desk where it belongs.

I trusted Sara with the project. She kept the lines of communication open, but in the end I gave her artistic license to create the paperweight. She wanted extra time to spend on the project, which I gladly allowed. It was not done “on time,” but in the end, there really was no time. I just wanted it perfect - and it was!

She even made a necklace with a tiny sand dollar on it for me at no extra charge. Priceless.

Obviously, I would highly recommend Sara.
